Zusman Hospice IOth Anniversary

Zusman Hospice 10th Anniversary Community Kaddish

Zusman Hospice at Wexner Heritage Village commemorated its 10th anniversary on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011. The event included a program of speakers, tributes, a recitation of Kaddish, and an opportunity to create memorial tiles that will become part of a mosaic mural.

Kaddish is a prayer that affirms the sanctity and greatness of G-d. Recited by those in mourning, it connotes a sense of hope and an affirmation of the timeless connection between those who have passed from this world, and those who remember them.

More than 150 guests attended, including Leonore Zusman and her daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and Stuart Cole. Speakers included Rabbis Cary Kozberg and Sharon Mars, Deaconess Linda Frank, Zusman Hospice Advisory Board Chair Keith Schuss, and Medical Director Dr. Jennifer Hirsh. Violinist Arkady Gips also performed.

Since its founding in 2001, Zusman Hospice has served thousands of patients, as well as a network of family and friends who benefit from follow-up grief support, community education and special outreach programs. Staff and volunteers also work with patients who live in nursing homes and other facilities, in addition to those living in private homes and on our campus at Wexner Heritage Village.
