Heritage Tower & Bexley Heritage Apartments

Heritage Tower and Bexley Heritage Apartments are HUD-subsidized, independent apartment buildings set in beautifully landscaped grounds. Heritage Tower is on the Wexner Heritage Village campus, while Bexley Heritage Apartments is in a quiet residential neighborhood about a mile from the main campus. The latter adjoins Schneider Park, where residents can stroll the wide footpaths or relax on a bench overlooking Alum Creek. Residents of both facilities enjoy having their own garden plot or raised planting beds where they grow vegetables and flowers. The programs and services at Heritage Tower and Bexley Heritage Apartments continue to evolve to meet the expanding needs of our residents, as they get older.

As residents age in place, Wexner Heritage Village continually finds ways to enrich health, social and activity services to empower continued independence and active participation in programs at the apartments and the whole community.

The two apartment locations together offer 140 units, some with special adaptations for those with physical challenges. Each apartment includes one or two bedrooms, a living room, dining area, full kitchen, bathroom and ample storage. Apartments include kitchen appliances, carpeting and individually controlled heating/air conditioning units. Utilities, except for telephone service, are included in rent.

With support from Housing and Urban Development (HUD), tenants pay a percentage of his/her adjusted monthly income as rent. The adjusted monthly income does provide a deduction for allowable medical expenses.

Occupancy at Heritage Tower and Bexley Heritage Apartments is available to anyone who meets federally established financial eligibility requirements, desires to maintain their own apartment and is age 62 or over. The age requirement is waived for individuals requiring one of the specially adapted units.
