Independent and Assisted Living
What is an independent living facility?
Independent living provides the freedom and versatility for someone who wants to maintain their current lifestyle without the worry of taking care of their home. Independent communities are perfect for individuals who want to downsize and/or are interested in a more social atmosphere. Most independent living communities include maintenance, utilities, housekeeping, and community activities in their monthly fee. There typically is an option to invest in additional personalized services to make life easier, such as laundry.
Being part of an independent living community, such as Creekside at the Village, opens up a world of opportunities for members to enrich their lives through the many programs we offer. Many of the activities are rich with cultural, educational, and sometimes spiritual programs that encourage personal growth.
What is an assisted living facility?
Assisted living facilities are similar to independent living facilities—however assisted living offers additional services. These services can include help with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication management. Typically, individuals are asked to participate in a clinical assessment to identify specific medical and non-medical needs.
At Creekside at the Village, our program is based on an individualized care assessment to identify the assisted living services that ensure the highest quality of care. Our members have the independence they desire with the knowledge that personal care and support are available if needed.
