Home Care
What Is In-Home Care?
In-home care involves non-medical services provided to individuals in their own home—often referred to as private duty care—such as in-home care offered through Wexner Heritage Village Home Health & Wellness. In-home care is rapidly growing in the United States. Naturally, as we age, we desire to remain in our own homes for as long as possible. In-home, private duty care makes that possible.
What Does In-Home Care Offer?
Individuals receiving in-home care are provided a variety of programs and services to meet their unique needs, which range from bathing and grooming to shopping for groceries… from medication set-up to light housekeeping… from chronic disease management to traveling companions. Wexner Heritage Village Home Health & Wellness offers all of these services and more-- including In-Home Specialists trained in the Wellness @ Home® model.
Emergency Response Systems
Many in-home care providers also offer their clientele emergency response system options, enabling an individual to request help in an emergency by simply pressing a button. The clients and family members of Wexner Heritage Village Home Health & Wellness find great relief and peace of mind knowing there is extra security offered in the face of an emergency.
Respite for Caregivers
Those who provide care for their family or loved ones—commonly referred to as caregivers—often times need assistance or a temporary break from caring for their loved one. In-home care organizations also extend respite for caregivers so that he or she can go on vacation, get through an elective surgery or illness, or even some extra help for a few hours to run errands. Here at Wexner Heritage Village Home Health & Wellness, we understand the needs of caregivers and help them find balance when managing the many responsibilities of caring for a loved one.
In-home care is a wonderful alternative for seniors who wish to remain living in their own homes.
