Program Promotes Lifelong Learning at Creekside at the Village
Nov. 29, 2006
Creekside at the Village, an independent living facility for older adults within the Wexner Heritage Village family of services, recently hosted Columbus State Community College’s Lifelong Learning Institute. The Lifelong Learning Institute is a program that strives to meet the non-credit education needs of Franklin County’s citizens over age 55.
The program at Creekside was titled, “Living in China” featuring the travels of Ruth Leonard. Over sixty individuals from Creekside, as well as the greater community attended.
Leslie Hire, social coordinator for Creekside, stated, “One of the best ways to stay healthy while aging is to exercise the brain. The mission of Columbus State’s Lifelong Learning Institute was a perfect fit for our community. We plan to invite the institute back for additional programs in the future.”
