Wexner Heritage Village Welcomes Back Rabbi Kozberg
September 1, 2006
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rabbi Cary Kozberg returns to Wexner Heritage Village as director of spiritual life on August 31 following a brief move to Chicago. Rabbi Kozberg served in the same capacity for Wexner Heritage Village from 1989 through 2005.
Rabbi Kozberg received his master’s degree in Hebrew Letters in 1975 and his rabbinical ordination in 1977 from Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati. He is a certified Jewish chaplain and has served on the Governing Council of the Forum on Religion, Spirituality and Aging.
“People who come to a nursing home receive care, but they also give back in so many ways,” Kozberg stated. “Staff and residents have a unique opportunity to work together to create a system that appreciates how spirituality plays into everyday life.”
