Wexner Heritage Village Announces "Capitol Steps" as Annual Fundraiser

November 7, 2006
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Wexner Heritage Village will once again team up with CAPA for a fun-filled fundraiser to be held at the Southern Theatre on January 18. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception in the ballroom of the adjacent Westin Great Southern Hotel. At 7:00 p.m. Guests will be treated to the bipartisan political humor, musical parodies and routines of Capitol Steps, a group of former Congressional staffers who turned into entertainers.
“Capitol Steps are known for having hilarious routines that appeal to the politically savvy and casual observer alike,” said Robin Stock, assistant vice president – organizational development. “They use the headlines of the day to create songs and skits that parody elected officials and world events.”
Donor level tickets are being sold through WHV in levels of $250, $150 and $100 that include premium seating and admission to the pre-show reception. To purchase donor-level tickets, individuals may call 614-559-0314. Tickets for the show only are available through the CAPA box office at 614-431-3600.
The event marks the fourth year that WHV has teamed up with CAPA to provide a benchmark event with the goal of raising community awareness and support for the not-for-profit aging services organization. Proceeds benefit the residents, members and clients of the Wexner Heritage Village family of services.
Co-chairs for the event are Joy and Mike Gonsiorowki and Joyce and Chuck Shenk.
